오늘의 표현은 서로 돕는 즉 무언가를 하는 대신 그 대가를 요구하는 상황에서 사용할 수 있습니다. 주로 가족(보통 현실 남매 사이)이나 친구 등 가깝고 격식 없는 사이에서 다소 가볍게 장난치는 느낌으로 많이 쓰이는데, 이런 일상 대화뿐만 아니라 비즈니스 영역에서도 자주 들을 수 있는 만큼 우리 생활 전반에서 두루 들을 수 있는 표현이라고 생각합니다. 그리고 얼마 전에 다룬 ‘Youscratch my back, I’llscratch yours’ 구문과도 아주 잘 어울리는 표현입니다.
